An eventual sanctuary for individuals impacted by oppressive laws.
Unity Harbour, founded in Oregon, is a developing transitional shelter that will serve those fleeing anti-LGBTQIA+ legislation, abortion restrictions, homelessness, and systemic injustice.
We are building a compassionate hub where families, individuals, and pregnant-capable people can access:
- Safe and supportive temporary housing
- Affordable childcare
- Job and housing support
- Preventive healthcare and reproductive resources
- A welcoming, affirming space to rebuild

👩💼 Meet Our Founder
Carmen Broesder has dedicated over 2,600 volunteer hours to Unity Harbour’s development—handling operations, finances, outreach, and service delivery during its formative stage.
She’s built Unity Harbour from the ground up, even housing a formerly homeless veteran in an RV purchased for organizational use—this veteran is now training to become our Campground Director at our Colorado-based site.

Unity Harbour is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in Oregon.
We’re supported by a Colorado-based LLC that provides:
- Free RV spots for people in crisis
- Below-market rates to improve access
- Land for safe relocation & visibility
- No profit—only outreach and impact
Oregon Health Plan (OHP)
The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) provides coverage for gender affirming care, high-risk pregnancy support, free preventive services, and more than we can promise. We can ensure that if you are eligible, we will help you sign up for it. These benefits ensure access to essential healthcare and resources for socioeconomic advancement.
