Engage with local communities, businesses, and organizations to raise awareness about Unity Harbour's mission and foster partnerships. This role involves attending events, networking, and advocating for shelter residents' needs. 

 Act as a representative of Unity Harbour in the community, spreading awareness about the organization's services and initiatives through various outreach methods such as public speaking, distributing flyers, and participating in community forums. 

 Utilize digital platforms and social media to expand Unity Harbour's reach and engage with online communities. This role involves creating and sharing compelling content, managing social media accounts, and responding to inquiries from the public. 

 Lead efforts to recruit volunteers from diverse backgrounds to support Unity Harbour's mission. This role involves creating volunteer recruitment strategies, attending recruitment events, and conducting volunteer orientations. 

 Ensure that Unity Harbour's digital platforms and communications are accessible to individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include conducting accessibility audits, implementing accessibility features, and providing training on digital accessibility best practices. 

 Provide language translation and interpretation services to non-English speaking individuals accessing Unity Harbour's services. This role involves assisting with written and verbal communication to ensure language barriers are addressed. 

 Connect shelter residents and community members, including those with disabilities, with relevant resources and support services. Responsibilities include maintaining a database of community resources, providing referrals, and offering guidance on accessing services. 

 Research funding opportunities and write grant proposals to secure financial support for Unity Harbour's programs and initiatives. Responsibilities include identifying potential grant opportunities, developing grant proposals, and coordinating with staff to gather necessary information. 

 Assist with data entry and database management tasks to maintain accurate records of volunteer information, donor contributions, and program outcomes. Responsibilities include inputting data, running reports, and ensuring data integrity. 

 Conduct research on topics relevant to Unity Harbour's mission, including homelessness, social services, and community development. Responsibilities may include literature reviews, data collection, and summarizing findings for use in reports and presentations. 

 Create visually appealing graphics, logos, and promotional materials to enhance Unity Harbour's branding and communication efforts. This role involves designing digital and print materials such as flyers, posters, and social media graphics. 

 Serve as a mentor and resource for new and existing volunteers, providing guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate their roles at Unity Harbour. Responsibilities include offering training, answering questions, and fostering a sense of community among volunteers.
